PRINT your paid Business Tax Receipt after paying online!

IF YOU ARE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS OR HAVE SOLD THIS BUSINESS:
For your protection, it is necessary to receive your written notification to retain on file. Notification of closure or sale may be sent to BusTax@brevardtc.com. Your email must include the date of closure or sale, your account number, name, address and telephone number for identity confirmation.

IF YOU HAVE CHANGED LOCATIONS, OR THE OWNERSHIP STATUS HAS CHANGED FROM THAT SHOWN:
Visit our online BTExpress Portal to submit your application. A TRANSFER FEE of $3.70 is applicable. Please be advised that the issuance of the Business Tax Receipt does not confirm the business activity occurring on the property complies with the local Zoning regulations or ensures that the premises contain the appropriate building occupancy or life safety requirements. Other permits, licenses, or approvals may be required in addition to the Brevard County Business Tax Receipt to operate lawfully. It is recommended that you contact the following County and State agencies prior to submitting a Business Tax Receipt application. Business Tax Receipts are nonrefundable by the Brevard County Tax Collector’s Office.

Requirements for a business located within a municipality: Contact the municipality.
If your business is located in an unincorporated area, contact the following prior to submitting your application:

IF MAILING ADDRESS HAS CHANGED, but the LOCATION REMAINS THE SAME:
For your protection, it is necessary to receive your written notification to retain on file. Notification of mailing address change may be sent to BusTax@brevardtc.com. Your email must include the following statement: "Mailing address change only; we have NOT MOVED BUSINESS from the location shown." in addition to your account number, name, address and telephone number for identity confirmation.

EXEMPTIONS APPLY IF STATUTORY CRITERIA IS MET:
• Persons 65 years of age or older
• Widows with minor dependents
• Disabled persons who are physically incapable of manual labor
• Honorably discharged Veterans or their spouse or unremarried surviving spouse
• Spouse of active duty military service member, who has relocated to Brevard pursuant to a  permanent change of station order
• Persons receiving public assistance as defined in s. 409.2554
• Person whose household income is below 130% of the federal poverty level based on the current year's federal poverty guidelines.

The current Business Tax Receipt expires September 30.
