Finding That Five-digit Insurance Company Code

The five-digit code specifically identifies the company that has written your policy. This code only appears on your insurance identification card. It can be the last five digits of your policy number, or it can be identified as a "CO CODE" or "COMP CODE." This code identifies that the company is licensed to sell insurance in the State of Florida. To help you obtain your correct code online, click here to go to a company code identification page on the internet.
You will see a table like the sample below. Put in your company's name, or enter the company type "P & C General Insurance Company" check "table" and click on "search":


The search will bring up a table like the one shown below.
The five-digit code will be in the column labeled "comp code" (red arrows in our sample)
